About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take ownership of the technical quality, architecture, and performance of browser-based games
- Work on existing titles, improving and extending rapidly developed games
- Implement gameplay features, UI systems, animations, audio, and game mechanics
- Ensure a consistent player experience across desktop and mobile devices
- Identify technical debt and improve code quality
- Establish best practices supporting long-term development and maintenance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Applications and CVs/resumes MUST be submitted in English to be considered
- Strong experience using PixiJS
- Good working knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows
- Experience with GSAP for animation and tweening
- Experience with Howler.js for audio integration
- Experience with Vitest and/or Playwright for testing and quality assurance
- Experience with analytics and monitoring tools such as PostHog and Sentry
- Previous experience developing casual, puzzle, arcade, or mobile-style games (nice to have)
- Experience shipping and supporting live HTML5/browser-based games (nice to have)
- Familiarity with scalable game architecture and reusable gameplay systems (nice to have)
- Experience optimising games for lower-spec or mobile devices (nice to have)
- Understanding of asset delivery and CDN pipelines (nice to have)
- Proven track record of building, optimising, and shipping commercial games using PixiJS in a professional environment prior to the use of AI in coding
