About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the evolution, optimisation and automation of financial processes and reporting based on Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations.
- Contribute to a roadmap of development for Side’s use of D365.
- Ensure all Side entities are successfully using D365.
- Evaluate current processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with Finance and IT colleagues to design and implement system enhancements and new functionalities.
- Remove previous system customisations and enable regular Microsoft upgrades.
- Ensure D365 meets compliance, reporting and operational needs.
- Liaise between Finance, IT, vendors and other departments.
- Operate core D365 financial modules and ensure timely validations and reconciliations.
- Review and update financial business processes; identify inefficiencies and implement resolutions.
- Identify, plan and implement system improvements and enhancements.
- Coordinate testing, validation and sign-off for D365 financial-module upgrades.
- Maintain master data, user authorisations and approval hierarchies.
- Interface between Finance and IT regarding functionality, performance, downtime and future developments.
- Support development of financial and non-financial reports.
- Manage change requests and minimise disruption during transitions.
- Develop end-user training programs and support onboarding.
- Create and maintain project documentation, workflows and user guides.
- Drive finance-process automation and align external and internal reporting requirements.
- Support robust controls and workflows for data accuracy, security and compliance.
- Ensure timely and accurate statutory, regulatory and management reporting.
- Maintain data-flow, process and control documentation for audits and compliance checks.
- Maintain the Finance Architecture roadmap and track product updates.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a software, technology, finance or business related field.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and budgeting.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to receive, understand and convey ideas and information clearly and accurately, including complex, highly detailed, technical or specialist information, in written and verbal form.
- Advanced level of IT skills (D365, Microsoft Office, Power BI), and understanding of financial systems and controls.
- Excellent working knowledge of D365 is essential.
- Experience of transforming finance related processes is essential.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams.
- Demonstrable ability to navigate through uncertainty and provide solutions when working through ambiguity.
