About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in software development by analyzing requirements, identifying use cases, risks, accessibility criteria, and testing needs
  • Interact with developers, designers, project leads, and other stakeholders
  • Represent the end user within the project team
  • Contribute to identifying impacts, prioritizing features, and addressing bugs
  • Develop and execute functional and non-functional tests—manual and automated—for Web frontend and backend applications
  • Report test results clearly and objectively, demonstrating the severity and impact of bugs
  • Help establish shared ownership of quality and promote Quality Engineering and Shift-Left Testing practices
  • Share technical knowledge about testing strategies, automation, frameworks, and best practices
  • Report activity status and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Seek new approaches and develop activities that deliver quality results within deadlines
  • Contribute to the evolution and development of automated tests and new strategies aligned with the project and its objectives
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and frameworks using programming best practices, code reuse, the Page Object Model, fixtures, custom commands, and test data management
  • Implement automation processes to improve test efficiency, coverage, and reliability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in manual and automated software testing, preferably with Web applications and APIs
  • Proven experience working on agile development projects
  • Knowledge of Web application testing
  • Knowledge of programming logic and languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Kotlin
  • Experience automating Web tests using Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools
  • Experience testing APIs with Postman, including creating collections, environments, variables, scripts, assertions, authentication, and response validation
  • Knowledge of API automation using Python and frameworks such as Pytest, Requests, or similar tools
  • Advanced English proficiency for conversation, reading, and writing
  • University degree in a field related to Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • Experience with REST API, integration, regression, smoke, end-to-end, and contract testing
  • At least 2 years of experience with Web and API test automation tools, using Cypress, Postman, Python, Pytest, or similar technologies
  • Knowledge of developing automation frameworks, including fixtures, parameterization, data-driven testing, mocks/stubs, and evidence generation
  • ISTQB testing certification is a plus
