About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
  • Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
  • Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts
  • Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Thorough familiarity with inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of aviation products after maintenance
  • Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations
  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules as required
  • Current, valid passport and ability to obtain a visa to travel internationally
  • Willingness to deploy OCONUS/CONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation
  • Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance required
  • Understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1 preferred
  • Thorough understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations preferred
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation preferred
  • Experience with first article inspections preferred
  • Prior experience with aircraft modifications preferred
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military preferred
  • Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders or stairs frequently
  • Ability to work in diverse environmental conditions
  • Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required U.S. government authorizations
