Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or relevant experience as a substitute
  • 13+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field
  • In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 17 years of related experience
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
  • Thorough knowledge of business development, capture management, program management, science and engineering programs, acquisition processes, or opportunity identification and qualification
  • Ability to work with senior business and government leaders, with a focus on U.S. Army customers
  • Working knowledge and experience with engineering support acquisition organizations
  • Experience developing account plans and capture plans for new business opportunities
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of War and/or US Military, with understanding of defense, aerospace, intelligence, and adjacent markets
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills
  • Strong decision-making skills using BLUF and 80/20 principles
  • Experience working with U.S. Army Air Defense / C-UAS market preferred
  • Advanced competitive analysis and price-to-win target-setting skills preferred
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, presentation, and attention-to-detail skills preferred
  • Previous management experience and ability to recruit, assign, direct, evaluate, and develop staff preferred
  • Passion for ideation and innovation, and ability to motivate others preferred
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and complex technical and program interdependencies preferred
  • Strategic mindset linking technology and business preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision preferred
  • Working knowledge of US Government budgeting and DoW acquisition processes preferred
  • Experience with industry-specific research tools preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including PowerPoint and Excel functions preferred
  • Active Secret Clearance required; ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance
  • Current U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods
  • Regular hand/finger dexterity for typing and writing
