About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
  • Advanced proficiency in electrical/electronic design and validation techniques
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
  • Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • Exposure to electrical/electronic FMEA and SSA concepts
  • Experience using Altium Designer or other industry PCB CAD tools
  • Experience in PCB fabrication processes, limitations, design rules, and best practice
  • Experience applying relevant IPC standards, CID, CID+ certification
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and apply design best practices
  • Experience designing and routing I2C, RS-485, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet, and PCIE communications protocols
  • Ability to obtain and maintain United States Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship status required for security clearance eligibility
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
  • Extensive experience with electrical CAD software preferred
  • Aerospace and defense industry standards and practices preferred
  • Experience with simulations, circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis preferred
  • Experience composing an Electrical Load Analysis preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical design principles, component selection, manufacturing, and production processes preferred
  • Familiarity with EMC, EMI, HIRF, and IEL preferred
  • Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture preferred
  • Understanding of PCB layout processes and tools preferred
  • Familiarity with signal and power integrity rules preferred
  • Experience in Integration and Test for multi-system electronics preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting PCB bring-up and system I&T activities preferred
  • Experience across the full PCB design lifecycle preferred
  • Previous missile system development program experience preferred
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment
  • Ability to understand technical documents, schematics, and electronic instrument measurements
  • Ability to handle small components, tools, and equipment with precision
