About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage multiple projects or a larger project from proposal development through project closeout
  • Assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, and identify appropriate resources
  • Develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Interface with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters
  • Communicate project status with senior project managers, functional area managers, or program managers
  • Track progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, and performance indicators
  • Prepare project status reports for stakeholders
  • Develop and adhere to schedules to ensure timely project completion
  • Adapt to frequent changes in project requirements or scope

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or relevant experience substituted for education
  • 4+ years of experience in project management and/or a related or technical field
  • In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
  • Demonstrated experience managing a complex project with a multi-function team
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and capability to meet schedules
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship status required for security clearance eligibility
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to travel as required
