About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the development and administration of subcontracts for specialized materials, equipment, and services
- Develop compliant files and manage subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions
- Prepare comprehensive bid packages and establish evaluation criteria
- Analyze and evaluate subcontractor proposals for technical and financial compliance
- Negotiate subcontract terms, prices, and schedules
- Administer Firm Fixed Price and Time and Material subcontracts
- Monitor and assess subcontractor performance throughout the contract lifecycle
- Maintain records of subcontract agreements and performance data
- Select and recommend new subcontractors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project and program objectives
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and federal regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a related role
- Relevant experience can substitute for the required educational qualifications; without a degree, at least 6 years of related experience is required
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
- Proficiency in subcontract management principles and methodologies
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
- Hand and finger dexterity for data entry and document review
- Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel occasionally for supplier and subcontractor meetings
- Ability to critically think through subcontract-related challenges
