About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the functional lead for SAP manufacturing and project-based operations
Own the design, configuration, support, and continuous improvement of SAP Project Systems, Production Planning, and related integrations
Support a complex, program-driven manufacturing environment
Partner with Manufacturing, Program Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and Engineering
Improve planning accuracy, cost visibility, and execution efficiency from engineering release through shop-floor completion and project close-out
Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP Project Manufacturing
Identify and lead process improvements to reduce lead time, improve schedule adherence, and improve inventory and cost accuracy
Maintain and enhance MRP/MPS, capacity planning, routings, BOMs, engineering-to-manufacturing BOM handoff, and production order execution
Support project cost planning, commitments, WIP, and variance analysis with Finance and Program Controls
Gather and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows
Translate business requirements into SAP configuration or enhancements
Configure and support PS, PP/PP-PI, MM, QM, and CO integration
Define test strategies, write test cases, and lead unit, integration, and user acceptance testing

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience as an SAP functional or business systems analyst
4+ years in SAP PS and PP in a manufacturing setting
Experience with SAP Project Systems, Production Planning, and related integrations
Experience with WBS-based production, project-specific stock, make-to-order/engineer-to-order, and project settlement
Knowledge of MRP/MPS, capacity planning, routings, BOMs, engineering-to-manufacturing BOM handoff, and production order execution
Experience with project cost planning, commitments, WIP, and variance analysis
Ability to gather and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows
Ability to translate requirements into SAP configuration or enhancements
Experience configuring and supporting PS, PP/PP-PI, MM, QM, and CO integration
Ability to define test strategies, write test cases, and lead unit, integration, and user acceptance testing
Preferred: Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori
Preferred: Background in aerospace, defense, or other regulated, program-driven manufacturing
Preferred: SAP, PMP, CBAP, or Lean/Six Sigma certification
