About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist senior engineers in the analysis, design, and evaluation of mechanical systems and components
- Collect and analyze data related to mechanical systems, propulsion, structures, structural analysis, or environmental systems
- Contribute to resolving routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity
- Prepare technical documentation and reports to communicate findings and support project objectives
- Work effectively within cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and meet deadlines
- Clearly communicate technical concepts and information verbally and in writing
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
- Typically entry-level 0 - 2 years of experience
- Basic understanding of Mechanical Engineering technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts
- Basic application and use of technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts
- Ability to help develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity
- Ability to work in a team and follow guidance from senior engineers
- Clear verbal and written communication of technical concepts and information
- Internship or co-op experience in a mechanical engineering or related environment
- Familiarity with design, analysis, and test methods related to mechanical systems, propulsion, structures, and/or environmental systems
- Familiarity with engineering CAD tools such as NX, SolidWorks, or similar, including detail drawing standards and GD&T
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, material sciences, and their impact on mechanical systems
