About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead planning and scheduling efforts for complex programs and projects
- Perform detailed analyses and prepare comprehensive reports
- Ensure programs remain within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and comply with government cost control guidelines
- Lead preparation of budgets and schedules for all contract work
- Conduct financial analyses, including funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis
- Maintain accurate records of expenditures to ensure adequate funding
- Direct preparation of contractual changes into control systems
- Track outstanding work against each contract
- Maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines
- Lead and mentor team members, providing guidance and support for professional growth
- Support informed decision-making and alignment with organizational goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience
- Typically 5+ years of related experience
- Experience with management consulting, data analytics, finance, or other quantitative or analytical roles in business, program, or operations management
- Experience in Financial Operations, Cost Management, Schedule Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts, or Procurement Financial Analysis
- Experience collecting data from several sources, performing analysis, and communicating data
- Experience with advanced features in Excel, including Pivot Tables and Vlookups
- Strong business analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools
- Knowledge of DoD, government contracting, and/or public auditing policies and labor rate composition
- Recent experience leading teams formally and informally
- Master's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred
- PMP, CPA, or CFA certification preferred
- Experience with ERP systems preferred
- Experience leading large-scale projects or programs preferred
- Strong presentation skills and experience presenting to senior management preferred
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools preferred
- Experience in a leadership role within a finance or program management team preferred
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives preferred
