About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deploy, configure, and maintain a robust software development environment
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Design and maintain Kubernetes deployments, including the Big Bang framework
- Support both on-premises and cloud environments, with emphasis on air-gapped operations
- Design and maintain secure infrastructure using Terraform or Ansible
- Implement comprehensive observability solutions for proactive monitoring
- Integrate security practices throughout the development lifecycle
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize processes and ensure high-quality, reproducible software delivery
- Meet stringent compliance requirements
- Design, code, test, and debug complex software development environments
- Mentor and guide other engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or master's experience)
- 8+ years of related professional experience
- Ability to design, code, test, and debug complex software development environments
- Experience with Agile and Scrum/Kanban methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to mentor and guide other engineers
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship status is required
- Preferred: Security Plus or IAT2 certification
- Preferred: Experience as a DevOps/DevSecOps Engineer
- Preferred: Proficiency in Python or Bash
- Preferred: Experience designing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub or GitLab
- Preferred: Experience with Terraform or Ansible
- Preferred: Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
- Preferred: Experience with Windows and Linux software development
- Preferred: Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Preferred: Experience with ELK stack, Prometheus, or Grafana
- Preferred: Experience with C/C++ build tools
- Preferred: Relevant DevOps certifications
- Preferred: Experience with additional DevSecOps tools and methodologies
- Preferred: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Preferred: Strong communication and teamwork skills
