About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and test software applications for space systems and technologies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • Typically, 0–2 years of experience
  • Basic understanding of one or more programming languages and software development principles
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable code
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required
  • Preferred: Frontend development experience, preferably using React, Typescript, NodeJS, FastAPI or similar
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Windows and Linux/Unix development environments
  • Preferred: Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, sockets, client-server architectures)
  • Preferred: Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and/or automated testing frameworks
  • Preferred: Exposure to command and control (C2), telemetry, or mission-operations software concepts
  • Preferred: Basic understanding of spacecraft, satellite, or ground system operations concepts
  • Preferred: Understanding of Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Preferred: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Preferred: Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment
