About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deploy, configure, and maintain software development environments for space systems and technologies
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes deployments such as the Big Bang framework
- Operate across on-premises and cloud environments, with emphasis on air-gapped operations
- Design and maintain infrastructure using secure IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible
- Implement comprehensive observability solutions for proactive monitoring
- Integrate security practices throughout the development lifecycle
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize processes
- Ensure high-quality, reproducible software delivery meeting stringent compliance requirements
- Mentor and guide other engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or master's experience
- 5+ years of related professional experience
- Ability to design, code, test, and debug complex software development environments
- Experience with Agile and Scrum/Kanban software development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to mentor and guide other engineers
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship status is required
- Expertise in at least one programming language
- Advanced understanding of software development principles
- Ability to design and architect complex software systems
- Strong expertise in container technologies, GitOps workflows, infrastructure as code, software development workflows, and security tooling
