About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own assigned product initiatives from definition through release, including discovery, requirements, acceptance criteria, refinement, development coordination, validation, documentation, and launch readiness
Translate customer and market needs into clear product requirements
Work directly with customers and Customer Success to understand workflows, business challenges, product feedback, and emerging needs
Serve as the day-to-day Product partner to Engineering and Data Science
Participate in refinement and development discussions, clarify requirements, resolve questions, and escalate strategic tradeoffs when appropriate
Develop a strong understanding of Siftwell’s healthcare data, analytics, and product capabilities
Independently investigate customer data and product questions before escalating to Engineering or Data Science
Review and validate completed product work against requirements and customer needs
Identify issues and help determine readiness for release
Maintain organized and actionable product work in Jira
Manage product documentation and release communications, including requirements, decisions, dependencies, release notes, and status
Contribute to roadmap planning and product discovery by surfacing recurring customer needs, product gaps, and opportunities
Operate primarily during U.S. Eastern Time business hours
Participate in occasional travel for client engagement and team collaboration
Ensure security compliance for functional-area assets and sponsored third parties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Product Management, or equivalent experience as a Healthcare Business Analyst, Payer Operations Specialist, or Technical Implementation Lead paired with SaaS Product experience
Meaningful experience within the payer healthcare ecosystem, with a strong understanding of health plan operations, programs, workflows, and data
Product management experience within a SaaS or technology-enabled environment
Experience owning product initiatives and translating customer and business needs into clear requirements for technical teams
Experience working directly with Engineering and/or Data Science teams through refinement, development, testing, and release
Working knowledge of payer healthcare data and standard transaction formats, including 837 medical claims, 835 remittance data, 834 eligibility/enrollment files, pharmacy claims, clinical data, quality data, and member-level data
Ability to understand data limitations, investigate anomalies, and determine when technical escalation is needed
Experience using Jira or similar product development tools
Experience working within an Agile development environment
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, make sound product decisions, and drive work forward in a fast-moving environment
Experience with Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, Stars, HEDIS, HOS, quality, population health, or care management preferred
Hands-on experience with healthcare analytics, population health, and value-based care preferred
