About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze and categorize spoken-language elements in audio recordings
- Assess emotions, communicative intent, sarcasm, irony, humor, prosody, types of laughter, and other paralinguistic features
- Perform all tasks remotely through an online platform available 24/7
- Complete qualification tests after submitting an application
- Provide documentation or information reasonably requested to verify identity and credentials
Requirements
What you’ll need- Fluent in German; able to listen and write correctly without spelling mistakes
- Fluent in English; able to listen and write correctly without spelling mistakes
- Computer literacy
- Strong attention to detail
- Preferred but not mandatory: experience with computational linguistics, corpus analysis, language data annotation, or LLM training
- Minimum 4GB RAM computer
- Microphone and webcam
- Windows 10 or higher, or macOS 13 Ventura or higher
- All operating-system updates installed and supported by the vendor
- Stable internet connection
- Headphones
- Secure internet location protected by a strong password
- For audio-collection projects only: mobile phone with Android OS
- Tablets and iOS devices are not supported
- Mandatory tests must be completed to proceed in the selection process
