About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the technical relationship with exhibitor partners from deal close through auditorium delivery
  • Ensure all parts, logistics, and technology are delivered on time
  • Direct video and projection, including video distribution, show control, and network infrastructure
  • Direct hardware, software, networking, and proprietary format-specific systems
  • Own engineering documentation, including Facility Impact, Bills of Material, rack elevations, single lines, network topology, and O&M manuals
  • Oversee testing, validation, certification plans, and Factory Acceptance Testing setup and configuration
  • Research and recommend technology improvements and own the technology roadmap
  • Serve as subject matter authority on video, control, and ride systems, standards, and specifications
  • Provide technical field leadership for deployment issue resolution and system optimization
  • Build and scale the engineering team, mentor junior engineers, and set engineering best practices
  • Oversee Purchasing, Project Management, Installation, and Customer Service functions
  • Partner with supply chain and manufacturing to ensure reliable, timely delivery
  • Report to the CEO and own the technical and operational success of auditorium deployments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant leadership experience in technology and engineering, ideally within cinema, AV, entertainment technology, or a related hardware-driven industry
  • Deep technical expertise across video and projection systems, hardware, software, and networking
  • Experience with supply chain and manufacturing operations
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams spanning engineering, purchasing, project management, installation, and customer service
  • Experience building and scaling a technical organization, including mentoring and developing engineers
  • Strong communication skills and comfort serving as the technical authority with internal teams and external clients
  • Executive presence and ability to operate as both a hands-on technical leader and a strategic partner to the CEO
  • Must be able to work onsite in Los Angeles, California
  • Regular travel to auditorium deployment sites and client locations
