About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with clients to devise customized solar solutions
- Design and implement solar energy systems for clients and projects
- Prioritize economically viable system solutions
- Communicate technical concepts and system designs to customers
- Address customer questions and concerns clearly and professionally
- Simplify complex solar concepts for customers new to solar
- Conduct virtual site surveys and load analysis assessments
- Track customer designs from introduction through installation completion
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging solar technologies
- Assist in developing and improving design tools, processes, and standard operating procedures
- Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and training sessions
- Collaborate with sales and technical support teams to integrate solar system designs into project plans
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Passion for expanding knowledge and expertise in solar energy and other renewable energy solutions
- Belief in the value and benefit of solar and willingness to grow with the company and industry
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience in the solar industry or renewable energy sector is highly desirable
- NABCEP PVA certification is highly desirable; PVDS preferred
- Strong technical understanding of Signature Solar’s product line from various manufacturers
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to track and follow up on multiple concurrent projects
- Ability to collaborate with multiple teams
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to meet physical demands including sitting, standing, walking, lifting 25+ lbs, and computer work, with or without reasonable accommodation
