About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Record and maintain daily accounting transactions, including revenues, expenses, supplier invoices and customer invoices
Support bank, supplier and customer reconciliations and follow up on any differences
Assist with VAT, MyDATA and other tax-related submissions under the guidance of the Senior Accountant
Maintain records related to fixed assets and support the preparation of relevant schedules
Assist with month-end closing activities, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting
Prepare and organize supporting documents for internal and external audits
Maintain complete and well-organized electronic and physical accounting files
Support payments and other daily finance operations when required
Cooperate effectively with the accounting team and other internal departments
Develop professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning and on-the-job training
Work closely with and report to the Head of Finance

Requirements

What you’ll need

BSc in Accounting, Finance or a related field
2 - 3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within an in-house accounting department or accounting firm
Basic knowledge of Greek accounting and tax legislation
Familiarity with MyDATA, VAT processes and accounting entries
Good command of Greek and English
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with accounting or ERP software will be considered an advantage
Accuracy and attention to detail
Good organization and ability to meet deadlines
Teamwork and willingness to learn
Reliability and professional integrity
Positive and cooperative attitude
