About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Enable and enhance day-to-day operational workflows of critical applications and services in a 24x7x365 environment located in cloud data centers
- Continuously improve application observability to ensure uptime and reliability of applications and infrastructure
- Own the release of company builds, including designing, developing, maintaining, tooling, and delivering the process
- Monitor processes throughout the product lifecycle and update or create processes for improvement
- Build tools to reduce errors and improve customer experience
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
- Manage Docker containers and container orchestration tools, preferably Kubernetes
- Manage incidents and perform root cause analysis for production errors
- Encourage and build automated processes
- Create detailed incident reports
- Create dashboards and KPIs for continuous monitoring
- Coordinate and communicate within the team and with customers
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines
- Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD and monitoring automation tools
- Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Work with software developers to ensure development follows established processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- A degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, or a related field (preferably Msc)
- 3 years proven experience in DevOps, or related position (eg. SRE)
- Experience with, or understanding of, source code control systems, versioning, branching and merging, configuration, build management, artifact repos, automated build tools, automated testing frameworks and automated deployment frameworks
- Extensive experience in monitoring and metrics systems (Prometheus, Logstash, Grafana, Dynatrace, Datadog, pref. Azure app insights)
- Proven working experience on Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery procedures and tools (eg. Azure, Jenkins, Github CI)
- Proven experience in scripting (Bash, Powershell, Python, etc.)
- Experience with programming languages (ASP.NET, .NET Core)
- Ability to work as part of a distributed team
- Very good knowledge of English
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good attention to detail
- Familiarity with database technologies (KQL, MSSQL/PostgreSQL)
- Experience or knowledge with one or more Infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible, Chef, Terraform, etc
