About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the client relationship as the main design contact for a dedicated client account
Build trust and keep priorities, timelines and expectations clear
Plan and run user interviews, workshops and usability tests
Turn research findings into practical insights
Map user journeys, information architecture and flows
Develop wireframes and interactive prototypes
Use AI-assisted tools to explore design options efficiently
Create polished, responsive prototypes meeting WCAG 2.1 AA expectations
Work within and contribute to the client’s design system
Capture requirements, user stories and simple process flows with project managers and developers
Navigate compliance reviews, legal and brand sign-off, and multiple approval layers
Explain design rationale to client stakeholders, gather feedback and align on next steps
Hand off clear specifications and answer developer questions
Review implementation quality through development
Plan and prioritise workload, raise risks early and keep the wider team informed
Share useful AI workflows, tools and practices with the team while protecting data privacy and client confidentiality

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 6 years of UX/UI design experience, ideally in an agency, consultancy or product team
Track record of taking projects from research and discovery through UI design and delivery
Some experience in enterprise or regulated sectors such as banking, insurance, healthcare or public services, or a strong interest in working in these settings
Confident Figma skills, including components, auto layout and prototyping
Hands-on experience using AI tools in design or research
Clear understanding of where AI tools help and where human judgement is needed
Portfolio showing design work and problem-solving approach
Strong English communication skills
Confidence presenting work to clients
Portfolio with case studies showing research, design decisions, prototypes and collaboration with developers
