Key responsibilities & impact

Support Navy Pacific financial management modernization and analytics efforts across Navy ERP and associated Navy business systems
Work closely with comptroller organizations, functional experts, and technical teams
Build meaningful, accurate, and actionable reports, dashboards, and data products
Interpret financial management business rules and understand how financial data moves across systems
Translate complex datasets into automated, transparent analytics
Enhance decision-making and support audit readiness
Build repeatable data pipelines and automate reporting for month-end, year-end, and audit readiness activities
Train end users on dashboards, analytics products, and data transparency tools
Document repeatable processes, desk guides, SOPs, workflows, and source-to-target mappings

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 4–6+ years of full-time experience, excluding internships, performing data analytics, business intelligence, or financial systems analysis within DoD organizations or Fortune 500 companies
Strong experience supporting Financial Management operations, including General Fund or Working Capital Fund financial data, financial statements, reconciliations, or command-level reporting
Ability to translate FM business processes into analytic models, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions
Hands-on experience with Power BI, Databricks, Qlik, Tableau, or equivalent platforms
Experience with structured and unstructured financial datasets, including cleansing, transformation, normalization, and validation
Ability to build repeatable data pipelines and automate reporting solutions supporting month-end, year-end, or audit readiness activities
Familiarity with Navy ERP financial data structures, interfaces, or integration points, including FI, FM, GL, CO, AM, and Procurement/Expenditure datasets
Understanding of budget execution, obligation tracking, cash management, reconciliation, trial balance validation, and financial statement compilation
Working knowledge of Navy external systems including DCAS, DDRS, SLDCADA, DCPS, EDA, and DTS
Ability to train end users on dashboards, analytics products, or data transparency tools
Experience documenting repeatable processes such as desk guides, SOPs, workflows, and source-to-target mappings
Active U.S. DoD Secret clearance or eligibility to obtain one; Interim Secret clearance accepted
Certifications such as CISA, CompTIA Data+, or Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate are desired
Experience with forensic analysis of financial management datasets is desired
Experience with R, Python, SQL, or similar languages is desired
Background supporting DON or Navy ERP transformation, optimization, or enterprise-level analytics modernization efforts is desired
Experience creating EDL pipelines with QA testing and optimization monitoring is desired
