About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, test, and deploy RPA workflows supporting Navy business process automation, data reconciliation, validation, and reporting
- Translate manual business processes and documented requirements into automated, auditable workflows
- Develop and maintain UiPath and other approved automation solutions using reusable components
- Participate in process discovery and requirements-gathering sessions
- Integrate automation with Navy and DoW systems and enterprise data sources, including Excel, SharePoint, SQL databases, and APIs
- Develop scripts and automation components using Python, SQL, and other applicable languages
- Support UiPath Orchestrator configuration and operation, including jobs, queues, assets, credentials, scheduling, and exception handling
- Apply RPA and software development best practices, version control, testing, debugging, and documentation
- Develop process definition, solution design, test, technical, and user documentation
- Perform unit testing and support integration testing and UAT
- Troubleshoot automation failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement remediation with senior technical resources
- Support evaluation and integration of Azure, Azure AI, and emerging automation and artificial intelligence capabilities
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint-level delivery
- Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel to ensure compliance with security, access control, change management, and ATO requirements
- Continuously develop technical knowledge of RPA, intelligent automation, AI, and related technologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active or interim DoD SECRET security clearance; ability to maintain clearance eligibility for the duration of assignment
- U.S. Citizenship required by contract
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field
- 1–3 years of professional RPA, software automation, or related development experience
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting software, automation, or RPA solutions
- Hands-on experience with UiPath or comparable RPA development experience, with the ability to develop proficiency in UiPath Studio and Orchestrator
- Foundational understanding of RPA concepts, workflow design, exception handling, testing, debugging, and production support
- Working knowledge of Python and SQL or comparable programming/scripting experience
- Understanding of software development fundamentals, including programming logic, testing, debugging, reusable development, and version control
- Ability to analyze business processes and translate requirements into technical automation tasks
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team-oriented program environment
- UiPath certification, Microsoft Power Automate, Azure, generative AI, REST APIs, Databricks, enterprise data sources, Git, federal government, financial audit remediation, and Agile/Scrum experience are desired skills
