About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate machines supporting Silfex manufacturing and finishing processes
Learn and perform 5S workplace organization activities
Develop proficiency in 3–5 designated processes through hands-on training and practice
Apply Silfex policies and procedures to perform routine tasks safely and effectively
Follow material handling requirements to ensure product and equipment quality
Read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, setup sheets, and process specifications
Enter production and quality information into batch records, the ERP system, and production or quality logs
Maintain area cleanliness and perform housekeeping tasks
Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks; initiate work orders or dispatches when needed
Follow safety procedures, use required PPE, safely handle materials and chemicals, and report incidents or hazards
Participate in Tier 1 meetings and shift passdown communications
Develop and maintain basic equipment troubleshooting competency
Apply the Silfex Quality Management System
Contribute to Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and 5S activities
Perform other assigned duties and projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) credential required
1–2 years of experience operating equipment in a manufacturing, cleanroom, laboratory, or similarly controlled environment requiring contamination-control practices and PPE
Ability and willingness to work safely around hazardous chemicals and wear cleanroom apparel for 12-hour shifts, including full-body gowning
Ability to learn, understand, and follow work instructions and operating procedures
Basic computer proficiency, including manufacturing systems, software applications, and web-based platforms
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and compliance
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must comply with cleanroom requirements and PPE requirements
Ability to meet the listed physical demands, including occasional lifting up to 50 pounds and regular lifting up to 25 pounds
