About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide home help services including general housekeeping and making beds
Clean, mop and vacuum floors
Wash, fold and iron laundry
Prepare meals and complete grocery shopping
Assist clients with getting out of bed, showering and dressing
Assist clients with taking medications
Support mobility and therapy goals
Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
Provide social and emotional support
Transport clients to lifestyle activities or appointments
Provide respite support for family carers
Work independently and find solutions to everyday problems
Ask the manager for help when needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 6 months of experience in a similar role
Experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications
Valid Australian Driver's Licence
Own insured, roadworthy vehicle
Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support (Aged Care) or (Ageing & Disability)
USI number required
Must complete a Statutory Declaration before commencement
Must complete a National Police check before commencement
Must complete a Working Rights check before commencement
Must complete a pre-employment functional assessment before commencement
