About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide aged care clients with general housekeeping and home help
Make beds and clean, mop and vacuum floors
Wash, fold and iron laundry
Prepare meals and complete grocery shopping
Assist clients with getting out of bed, showering and dressing
Assist clients to take medications
Assist with mobility and therapy goals
Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, including dementia
Provide social and emotional support
Transport clients to lifestyle activities or appointments
Support family carers by providing respite
Work independently, identify solutions and seek manager assistance when needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 3 months’ experience in a similar professional role
Experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications
Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
Own insured, roadworthy vehicle
USI Number required
Must complete a Statutory Declaration prior to commencement
National Police check required prior to commencement
Working Rights check required prior to commencement
Pre-employment functional assessment required prior to commencement
