About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create robust, scalable, and easy-to-use solutions with a builder mindset and product-focused approach
Own the technical design and delivery of complex, user-facing Calendar features across the full stack, from idea to production
Partner with Product to understand customer needs, define upcoming features, and identify problems before customers do
Build across the full stack using Ruby on Rails or Python and ship clean, scalable code
Establish engineering standards, component architectures, and development best practices
Mentor other engineers
Navigate ambiguity and deliver high-quality products at pace

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of senior-level full-stack engineering, with deep, hands-on Ruby on Rails expertise
Proven track record of taking ambiguous and complex problems to reliable production systems that serve millions of users
Solid, production-tested experience with Ember.js or React and their ecosystems
Strong systems design and judgment across APIs, SQL, multi-platform distributed systems, observability, and reliability
Excellent communication and collaboration skills working with remote teams on GitHub, Slack, Notion, and Zoom
Advanced, hands-on fluency with AI coding tools like Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code
High agency; ownership of quality, reliability, and operational excellence end to end
Bonus: web application security, PCI or HIPAA compliance experience
Bonus: production troubleshooting and infrastructure experience with Docker, MySQL, Postgres, Redis, NGINX, AWS, Linux, Terraform/Ansible
