About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Legal Talent Department in all aspects of its functions
  • Coordinate and administer the semi-annual attorney review process
  • Work with the Legal Talent team, partners and associates to ensure associate evaluation files are complete and maintain review-related reports
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation for new attorneys, including facilitating orientations for lateral hires and coordinating pre-arrival paperwork and logistics for first-year associates
  • Liaise with attorneys on leave of absence processes and coordinate with Benefits and/or Workday Support Groups on leave administration
  • Coordinate inter-office attorney relocations, including approvals and relocation memorandums
  • Support the U.S. immigration process by coordinating with immigration counsel on visa, work-authorization and green card applications
  • Assist with formalizing flexible work arrangements for attorneys
  • Maintain tracking charts and compile statistics for attrition analyses, headcount updates and other reporting
  • Coordinate with Legal Talent and Workday Support Group teams to advance Workday reporting and usage capabilities
  • Provide ongoing general support to the Legal Talent department and ensure consistent information sharing between offices
  • Stay current on firm news, including peer firm trends
  • Perform related work and other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 to 4 years of related experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact well and build professional relationships while maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to self-direct and adapt to changing working demands and multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to make effective judgments in line with Firm policies, procedures and/or guidelines
  • Must be team oriented
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, including knowledge of pivot tables, and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable working in web-based databases/software, such as viDesktop and Workday
  • Must be flexible to adjust hours to meet departmental needs and attend occasional related evening events
  • Prior experience in a law firm or professional services firm
  • Understanding of applicable laws and regulations for handling Associate personnel files and other sensitive and confidential information
  • Understanding of various databases and/or programs and effective methods for acquiring relevant information
