About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the hands-on design, development, and deployment of AI workflows for the M&A practice
  • Fine-tune models on M&A knowledge and build reusable workflows
  • Use Harvey, Legora, DeepJudge, Claude Cowork, and Claude Code to build, test, refine, and ship production-quality AI solutions
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, KM Lawyers, Practice Solutions, and M&A leadership
  • Develop strategies that drive sustained AI adoption within the M&A practice
  • Identify high-impact AI use cases across deal screening, due diligence, signing, and closing
  • Test and evaluate workflows against legal first principles; refine prompts and workflow logic
  • Build datasets, test sets, and evaluation frameworks for proofs of concept, pilots, and ongoing development
  • Govern AI assets including prompts, prompt libraries, workflows, vaults, and document collections
  • Design and deliver AI training, workshops, and best-practice resources for M&A lawyers
  • Advise on confidentiality, privilege, data privacy, output reliability, and professional responsibility
  • Share successful use cases and best practices across practice groups
  • Evaluate new AI technologies through demonstrations, proofs of concept, and pilots
  • Monitor AI, legal technology, and M&A developments to identify process-improvement opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • J.D. or equivalent
  • 8-10 years of practice experience as a lawyer in mergers and acquisitions
  • Deep knowledge of M&A transactions, due diligence processes, and related legal documents
  • Meaningful legal technology and/or AI experience, including exposure to Harvey, Legora, Claude Cowork, Claude Code, or similar platforms
  • Demonstrated experience building and shipping AI workflows end-to-end
  • Deep understanding of translating M&A legal reasoning, due diligence analysis, and transaction document review into structured, executable AI logic
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Data Science, KM Lawyers, and practice groups
  • Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Self-starter and highly motivated; comfort championing AI adoption and leading change
  • Confidence teaching, coaching, and mentoring lawyers on AI tools and workflows
  • Strong customer service orientation and prompt response time
