Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete assessments, psychotherapy appointments, supervision, treatment plans, and prior authorizations
  • LPC: Provide individual, family, and group counseling using evidence-based interventions
  • LPC: Conduct mental health assessments, treatment planning, and progress evaluations
  • LPC: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • LPC: Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
  • LPC: Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and other providers to coordinate care
  • LPC: Educate clients and families about coping strategies, mental health conditions, and community resources
  • LMFT: Provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families focused on relational and systemic issues
  • LMFT: Assess family dynamics, communication patterns, and relational challenges
  • LMFT: Develop treatment plans using family systems theory and evidence-based practices
  • LMFT: Facilitate family therapy sessions to address conflict, improve communication, and strengthen support systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC): Master’s degree or higher in Counseling or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution
  • LPC: At least 60 graduate semester hours in counseling, including coursework in human development, counseling theories/techniques, group dynamics, appraisal, research, and professional ethics
  • LPC: Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) license in Louisiana or current LPC license issued by the Louisiana LPC Board of Examiners
  • LPC: Successful completion of the NCE or NCMHCE
  • LPC: 3,000 hours of supervised post-master’s experience, including 2,000 direct counseling hours, 1,000 supervision/related activity hours, and 100 hours of face-to-face supervision with a Board-approved LPC-S
  • LMFT: Master’s or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field approved by the Louisiana Board of Examiners for MFT
  • LMFT: At least 48 graduate semester hours in MFT coursework
  • LMFT: Provisional LMFT license or current LMFT license in Louisiana
  • LMFT: Successful completion of the AMFTRB National Marriage and Family Therapy Examination
  • LMFT: 3,000 hours of supervised post-master’s clinical experience, including at least 1,500 direct client contact hours and 500 hours with couples or families
  • LCSW: Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program
  • LCSW: Current LMSW or LCSW license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners
  • LCSW: Successful completion of the ASWB Clinical Examination
  • LCSW: 3 years (5,760 hours) of supervised post-master’s practice, including at least 3,840 direct client contact hours and 96 hours of face-to-face supervision by a Board-approved LCSW-BACS
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
