About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in recording transactions in ledgers, preparing trial balances and simple financial statements using computer software
- Assist in reconciling accounts to control accounts
- Assist in computing accruals, property and equipment schedules, and depreciation expense
- Assist with audit or review procedures assigned by supervisors
- Assist in preparing payroll tax, sales or other local tax, and certain personal income tax returns
- Assist with other accounting, auditing, and tax duties as needed
- Assist in compiling workpapers and accounting reports needed for audits
- Perform diversified accounting assignments under the supervision of different professionals
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma
- At least two years' work towards a bachelor’s degree, usually in accounting
