About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze and develop systems in a Mainframe environment
- Contribute to the development of strategic features, from requirements gathering through solution implementation
- Understand and analyze business processes
- Identify impacts and opportunities for improvement
- Perform technical and functional analyses
- Develop and maintain medium- and large-scale applications
- Ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of deliverables
- Work on solutions for the collections and financial services sectors
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience developing and maintaining COBOL systems
- Knowledge of and experience with CICS
- Experience with DB2 databases
- Knowledge of JCL
- Experience working on medium- and large-scale projects
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Knowledge of collections products and solutions
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Experience with agile methodologies, especially Scrum
- Experience planning, executing, and monitoring unit and integration tests
- Experience at financial institutions, banks, or fintechs (preferred)
- Experience working on legacy system modernization projects (preferred)
- Experience in high-availability and mission-critical environments (preferred)
- Knowledge of integration processes between corporate systems (preferred)
