About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and enhance features for Evertec’s FIDC Custody platform
- Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance, as well as application support
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database components
- Analyze requirements and propose technical solutions
- Investigate and resolve production incidents, including performance issues
- Ensure code quality through best practices, code reviews, and testing
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and other technical teams
- Contribute to architecture decisions, integrations, and platform modernization
- Join a squad responsible for new features, bug fixes, performance improvements, and support for a legacy system
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of software development experience
- Strong experience with Java 8 and enterprise web applications
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL queries, stored procedures, and query optimization
- Experience with Apache Tomcat and REST APIs
- Knowledge of Git and source code version control
- Experience supporting systems, resolving incidents, and providing support in production environments
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related field
- Analytical and proactive mindset, with strong problem-solving skills
- Nice to have: Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate or JPA, Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, PostgreSQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Swagger/OpenAPI, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, Jira, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and AI tools applied to software development
- Preferred qualifications: experience with FIDC products or operations; knowledge of assignment, acquisition, settlement, repurchase, delinquency, collections, and receivables management processes; experience in financial services companies; experience with mission-critical financial systems, legacy platforms, and high-volume transaction environments; experience analyzing and optimizing database performance; participation in technology modernization and architectural evolution projects
