About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and evolve the architecture of web applications and APIs
  • Lead technology modernization and digital transformation initiatives
  • Design solutions using React, Node.js, and cloud services
  • Define development standards, integration patterns, and software engineering best practices
  • Support development teams with technical decisions and the resolution of complex problems
  • Ensure security, scalability, availability, and performance requirements are met
  • Contribute to the definition of architectures based on microservices, REST APIs, and messaging
  • Participate in technical reviews, solution architecture activities, and technology governance
  • Partner with business, product, infrastructure, and security teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience decomposing legacy monoliths and rebuilding them as cloud-native systems at scale
  • Experience migrating a critical system of record (fiscal, accounting, or banking)
  • Knowledge of the Strangler Fig pattern and branch-by-abstraction
  • Knowledge of rollout strategies
  • Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (bounded contexts, ACL) and/or Independent Service Heuristics
  • Experience designing data and event coexistence strategies; understanding of CDC trade-offs
  • Experience with equivalence/parity testing against a golden master
  • Ability to define falsifiable PoCs with exit criteria
  • Experience with REST architecture and desktop-to-cloud integration
  • Advanced English proficiency (reading, speaking, and writing)
  • PowerBuilder or an equivalent 4GL/desktop stack (such as Delphi) is a plus
  • SAP SQL Anywhere / Sybase ASA is a plus
  • PostgreSQL is a plus
  • Knowledge of the Brazilian tax and accounting domain is a plus
