About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Run and inspect parts using mill and lathe machines
- Interpret individual project blueprints
- Design CNC programs and set up machines for production
- Perform basic machine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Ensure proper tool and machine usage and preventive maintenance
- Operate a Haas mill or manual Bridgeport lathe depending on the job
- Read, understand, and complete shop floor paperwork to maintain records and meet customer requirements
- Handle parts properly, including unpacking new jobs and packing finished work for shipping
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of High School diploma and/or equivalent
- 5+ years experience with Haas mills and manual Bridgeport lathe preferred
- 5+ years programming and Mastercam experience
- Blueprint reading experience required
- Manufacturing experience required
- Ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to analyze and resolve basic problems
- Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to stand, sit, use hands to handle tools or equipment, talk, and hear
- Ability to occasionally walk and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work around moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, temperature extremes, electrical shock risks, and moderate noise
