About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Organize the priorities and routines of the R&D and Innovation team, serving as a technical point of reference
Lead the innovation process, from technology scouting and screening, prioritization, and discussion through PoC, adoption, and handoff
Define criteria, priorities, and timelines for advancing initiatives through the innovation funnel
Act as a technology scout by monitoring trends, research, startups, and emerging technologies, whether proprietary or open source
Develop and provide hands-on technical support for PoCs, MVPs, and prototypes of AI and Data solutions
Conduct experiments and technical evaluations to validate new technologies and solutions
Assess the potential business applications of technologies, identifying opportunities to generate value, develop new products, and create competitive differentiators
Present studies, future outlooks, and innovation proposals to senior management, translating technical topics into business opportunities and impacts
Ensure the documentation and structured handoff of validated technologies to development pods
Support the definition of best practices for experimenting with, validating, and evolving AI and Data solutions
Prioritize different research areas based on impact, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience in IT, R&D, technological innovation, or applied research projects
Experience in market research, analysis of technology trends, and solution scouting
Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience developing PoCs, MVPs, and data pipelines
Hands-on experience with PyTorch and libraries in the Hugging Face ecosystem, such as Transformers, PEFT, or similar tools
Knowledge of Data Science and Statistics, particularly for evaluating and validating data and model results
Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, as well as relational and NoSQL databases
Experience with Prompt Engineering, LLMs, and developing solutions with AI Agents
Strong critical and analytical thinking, with the ability to prioritize multiple research areas
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to diverse audiences, including senior management
Familiarity with sensitive data, privacy, and industry regulatory requirements
Advanced English proficiency for global market research and communication with international vendors and partners
Preferred qualifications: experience with R&D and innovation projects in Artificial Intelligence; experience with generative AI, RAG, fine-tuning, or AI agents; experience with open-source technologies and monitoring international research and trends; experience in the health and wellness sector
