About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement the project HSSE Plan at the assigned site
- Ensure construction activities comply with DSCO and SJ requirements, Indonesian regulations, contractual obligations, and international HSSE practices
- Lead HSE input for daily coordination meetings, pre-start briefings, toolbox talks, high-risk activity reviews, and workface readiness planning
- Review and monitor permit-to-work implementation for high-risk and restricted-zone activities
- Review contractors’ risk assessments, method statements, lifting plans, electrical safety plans, commissioning procedures, emergency response arrangements, and method-of-procedure submissions before work starts
- Ensure safe planning and execution of construction activities, with focus on high-risk works, energized systems, lifting, excavation, hot work, working at height, clean construction, security control, emergency response, and zero-interrupt operations
- Work closely with the Construction Manager, MEP Lead, C&S Lead, site engineers, contractors, commissioning teams, and DSCO representatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ensure compliance with DSCO requirements, SJ requirements, Indonesian regulations, contractual obligations, and recognized international HSSE practices
- Experience/knowledge of high-risk construction activities including energized electrical work, lockout/tagout, hot work, confined space entry, excavation, lifting operations, work at height, roof works, pressure testing, chemical handling, commissioning tests, and restricted-zone activities
- Ability to review risk assessments, method statements, lifting plans, electrical safety plans, commissioning procedures, emergency response arrangements, and method-of-procedure submissions
- Knowledge of permit-to-work control and construction HSSE management
- Ability to coordinate with Construction Manager, MEP Lead, C&S Lead, site engineers, contractors, commissioning teams, and DSCO representatives
