About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and own Skip’s cloud platform, security posture, and reliability for core lending systems
Own the corporate device fleet, identity, and automated IT operations
Own CI/CD, preview environments, and deployment controls
Drive least-privilege IAM, secrets management, network segmentation, and zero-trust access
Lead vulnerability management, dependency and image scanning, penetration testing, and incident response
Establish security posture and a path toward certification against best-in-class standards
Own security findings SLAs and tune scanning and penetration-testing tools
Automate security patching, secret rotation, audit evidence, and access-anomaly monitoring
Define and test disaster recovery and business continuity, including RPO/RTO targets, runbooks, and game-days
Own infrastructure-as-code and improve the speed and safety of production deployments
Provide production-like preview environments for engineers and agents
Automate device provisioning, MDM, endpoint security, onboarding, offboarding, and identity access
Build scalable IT processes for approximately 50 to 200+ people
Progressively implement policy-as-code, automated remediation, and agent-assisted operations within verified guardrails

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically 6+ years across DevOps, platform, security, or operations-heavy engineering
Production experience building and securing AWS cloud infrastructure
Least-privilege, automation, and infrastructure-as-code expertise
Experience owning security posture and reliability in a real production environment
Ideally, experience in a regulated or compliance-sensitive environment
Comfortable owning corporate IT and device-fleet operations, including MDM, zero-touch provisioning, and identity lifecycle
Experience with SSO/MFA, lifecycle management, and access reviews
Strong cloud and security fundamentals
Australian working rights required
Specific certifications or particular industry background are not required
Bonus: experience with policy-as-code, detection-as-code, agentic/automated operations, or self-healing systems
