About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own end-to-end production and material planning across multiple manufacturing lines
  • Coordinate materials, production orders, and inbound logistics to meet customer demand while minimising operational risk
  • Work with a local manufacturer in Belfast for manufacture of products
  • Ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging, proactively managing shortages and supply risks
  • Manage material planning and production scheduling to ensure stable operations and reliable delivery
  • Optimise production sequencing to minimise downtime, changeovers, and bottlenecks
  • Coordinate daily with production, procurement, logistics, and quality teams
  • Monitor demand trends and adjust plans to ensure service continuity
  • Identify and mitigate risks across supply, production, and logistics
  • Manage planning activities in ERP systems, ensuring data accuracy and effective planning parameters
  • Own customer requirements and communicate challenges
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and overall operational stability
  • Support and guide less experienced planners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in production and material planning within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with production scheduling and material planning (mandatory)
  • Solid understanding of production processes and inbound/outbound logistics
  • High proficiency in ERP systems (M3 preferred) and Excel (mandatory)
  • Experience with Power BI is an advantage
  • Ability to work autonomously with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working cross-functionally
  • A senior mindset with the ability to support and guide less experienced planners
  • 100% on-site work is preferred
  • Occasional travel based on business needs
