About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with a local manufacture in Belfast for manufacture of products
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging, proactively managing shortages and supply risks
- Manage material planning and production scheduling to ensure stable operations and reliable delivery
- Optimise production sequencing to minimise downtime, changeovers, and bottlenecks
- Coordinate daily with production, procurement, logistics, and quality teams to align priorities and constraints
- Monitor demand trends and adjust plans to ensure service continuity
- Identify and mitigate risks across supply, production, and logistics
- Manage planning activities in ERP systems, ensuring data accuracy and effective planning parameters
- Own customer requirements and communicate challenges
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and overall operational stability
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years of experience in production and material planning within a manufacturing environment
- Strong hands-on experience with production scheduling and material planning (mandatory)
- Solid understanding of production processes and inbound/outbound logistics
- High proficiency in ERP systems (M3 preferred) and Excel (mandatory)
- Experience with Power BI is an advantage
- Ability to work autonomously with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working cross-functionally
- A senior mindset with the ability to support and guide less experienced planners
- Occasional travel based on business needs
