About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with product and engineering during project scoping and refinement to identify risk and establish test plans
Perform manual exploratory testing and validation of new projects within the pod
Test Android-based software running on custom hardware and firmware
Work with engineers and QA to define, design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts across mobile, Android, web, and backend technology stacks
Participate in bug triage and incident response to reproduce and advocate for timely resolution of important software defects
Collaborate with QA team members across pods to improve testing efficiency and foster a sustainable workload

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in the quality assurance field
Clear and effective verbal and written communication
Capable of analyzing business requirements from a customer’s perspective
Hands-on testing experience with mobile devices (Android + iOS)
Experience testing software on embedded Android devices
Familiarity with ADB, system logs, and Android internals
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to identify and foresee requirement gaps
Experienced with logging and tracking defects throughout the defect lifecycle
Strong understanding of the SDLC, Agile testing, and software testing methodologies
