About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare detailed estimates for tile and related projects
- Enter and maintain estimates using QuickBooks
- Review project information, measurements, materials, labor requirements, and other relevant details
- Calculate project costs and pricing accurately
- Organize and maintain estimating documentation and records
- Review estimates for accuracy and completeness before submitting them for approval
- Communicate with the team to clarify project specifications, scope, pricing, or missing information
- Adjust estimates as project details or requirements change
- Maintain consistent estimating practices and follow established company processes
- Meet deadlines and provide estimates in a timely manner
- Assist with additional administrative or estimating-related tasks as needed
- Take ownership of the estimating process and deliver accurate, professional estimates with limited oversight
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous professional experience in construction estimating, preferably within tile, flooring, remodeling, or a related trade
- Strong experience creating detailed project estimates
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and experience using it for estimating or related financial/project functions
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to understand project scope, materials, labor, and associated costs
- Highly organized with strong time-management skills
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Dependable, responsive, and able to meet established deadlines
- Experience in tile installation, flooring, construction, remodeling, general contracting, construction estimating, or QuickBooks strongly preferred
