  • Bring Slate’s accessories portfolio to life, supporting exterior or interior hard-goods products
  • Translate customer needs into useful products that foster brand connections through expression
  • Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle
  • Enable world-class customer personalization by bringing products to market
  • Use strategic and quantitative analysis to build and defend business cases for new products
  • Assign features and specifications, own trade-off decisions, and lead business execution
  • Own an accessories portfolio category, including performance, customer satisfaction, and company impact
  • Conduct market studies and keep product offerings fresh
  • Execute and improve the product development process
  • Manage the end-to-end cycle of approved products on the line plan, including product sunset management
  • Lead cross-functional execution across Design, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Brand, and Commercial teams
  • Partner with Brand and Legal teams to secure product licensing and reseller agreements
  • Create presentations and documentation and present product updates and recommendations to cross-functional leadership
  • Travel to suppliers and Slate office sites 10–25% on average

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or equivalent; exceptional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree
  • 6+ years of experience in hardware products and programs, preferably automotive/power sports accessories, lifestyle accessories, engineering, or product development
  • Proven track record of taking products from concept to creation
  • Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills
  • Comfortable in start-up environments
  • Continuous improvement approach and ability to work with engineering details and business planning
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and influence senior stakeholders without formal authority
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with partners, suppliers, and vendors
  • Ability to represent the Slate brand and present the Slate vision
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis
  • Must be able to travel to suppliers and Slate office sites
