About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage highly complex export operations for customers under FOB, CFR, and CIF terms, ensuring execution excellence and compliance with shipping deadlines.
Lead export documentation processes, including reviewing and receiving Letters of Credit, preparing transaction documents, and liaising directly with banking institutions.
Ensure tax and customs compliance by issuing export invoices and monitoring DU-E registrations.
Take a strategic role in the financial control of operations by reviewing, recording in the system, and submitting export expenses in multiple currencies for payment.
Maintain relationships with international customers and logistics chain partners, liaising with customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, insurers, and other parties involved in the export process.
Negotiate and contract ocean freight and international insurance, seeking operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and shipment competitiveness.
Monitor and analyze export logistics costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement.
Participate in continuous improvement and digital transformation projects, working with the IT team to develop system solutions and resolve operational challenges.
Conduct market analyses, assess logistics trends, and prepare feasibility studies, providing strategic information to support decision-making and the sustainable growth of international operations.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade, Business Administration, International Relations, Economics, or a related field.
Advanced English proficiency.
Solid experience in export processes and international logistics, including management of shipments under FOB, CFR, and CIF terms.
In-depth knowledge of Incoterms, export documentation, customs clearance, DU-E, and interaction with relevant regulatory authorities and stakeholders.
Proven experience with Letters of Credit, including clause analysis, document management, liaison with financial institutions, and negotiation of discrepancies.
Experience contracting and monitoring ocean freight and international insurance.
Experience analyzing and managing export logistics costs, identifying optimization and cost-reduction opportunities.
Experience managing relationships with international customers, shipping lines, customs brokers, banks, and other international logistics chain partners.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience with continuous improvement projects, process automation, and developing solutions in partnership with technology teams.
Knowledge of Power BI for data analysis, KPI development, and decision-making support.
Knowledge and application of Artificial Intelligence in export processes.
A postgraduate degree in Foreign Trade, International Logistics, International Business, or a related field will be considered an advantage.
Experience with SAP will be considered an advantage.
