About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct comprehensive sleep histories and physical examinations via telehealth or in person
- Evaluate sleep-related complaints
- Order and interpret Home Sleep Apnea Tests (HSAT) and in-lab Polysomnography (PSG)
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including CPAP/BiPAP therapy, pharmacological interventions, and lifestyle counseling
- Educate patients on sleep hygiene, sleep disorders, and long-term therapy compliance benefits
- Monitor patient progress
- Manage equipment titration and adjustments
- Provide CBT-I referrals or basic coaching
- Collaborate with Sleep Technicians, the Medical Director, and administrative staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current, active, unrestricted NCCPA certification
- State PA license; multi-state license preferred
- Certification in Behavioral Sleep Medicine (CBSM) or experience in Sleep Medicine is a major plus
- DEA registration and state-specific prescriptive authority
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant preferred
- Experience with telehealth or remote patient care is required
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Proficiency with EMR systems and telehealth platforms
- Familiarity with CPAP compliance software, such as Canvas, AirView, or Care Orchestrator, highly desirable
- Exceptional verbal and written skills
- Ability to explain complex physiological concepts in human terms
