About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the Freeflow portfolio, including ANPR cameras, information displays, LED signs and guidance systems, parking meters, and ParkAgent customer software
- Build the product roadmap and prioritize initiatives based on customer value, revenue, and effort
- Align long hardware cycles with short software release cycles
- Gather feedback from Sales on lost deals and post-launch customer needs
- Visit customers and parking facilities, and support issue resolution
- Write requirements for hardware, firmware, and software development
- Balance functionality, cost, and timelines with the development team
- Manage the device lifecycle, including new generations, component changes, firmware updates, and product discontinuations
- Own integrations with mobile parking apps, parking meter providers, enforcement, and vehicle-owner notification services
- Select future integration partners
- Develop pricing and packages with the Go-to-Market Lead
- Support Sales with tender submissions
- Prepare product launches with Marketing and Customer Success
- Report to the Freeflow Go-to-Market Lead
- Work closely with the Head of TechDev and the development team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 to 5 years of experience in product management
- Experience with connected hardware deployed in the field, as well as software
- Degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent professional background
- Sufficient software knowledge to discuss APIs, data models, and architecture, and to assess effort realistically
- Experience with bills of materials, lead times, component discontinuations, and devices deployed at customer sites
- Willingness to set priorities and advocate for them with Sales, customers, and executive management
- Experience with automatic number plate recognition (ANPR/LPR), video analytics, or parking technology is ideal but not required
- Experience limited exclusively to apps or pure SaaS products is not a fit for this role
