About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage accounting operations across all Group entities.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions.
Maintain the General Ledger and Chart of Accounts.
Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, adjustments, and complex transaction accounting treatments.
Complete balance sheet, intercompany, and key account reconciliations.
Coordinate internal and external audit requirements.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT, Zakat, withholding tax, and statutory reporting requirements.
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
Manage the closing calendar and resolve discrepancies before close.
Prepare closing files, management accounts, financial statements, dashboards, KPI reports, and quarterly reporting packages.
Perform variance analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, reforecasts, financial modeling, scenarios, and sensitivity analysis.
Supervise credit control, collections, and Accounts Payable activities.
Monitor credit risk, aging, collections, disputed invoices, supplier balances, payment schedules, and vendor reconciliations.
Improve Days Sales Outstanding, minimize bad debt exposure, and prepare collection forecasts and cash flow projections.
Support cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital improvement.
Strengthen internal controls, segregation of duties, accounting procedures, policies, SOPs, and process improvements.
Support ERP implementation and system enhancement projects.
Lead and develop General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Collections team members; set objectives and KPIs, conduct reviews, coach staff, and manage workload.
Act as finance lead during the Group CFO’s absence.
Support board presentations, investor materials, due diligence, acquisitions, financing, strategic projects, and finance transformation initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
8 to 12 years of progressive accounting and finance experience is preferred.
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership position.
Strong experience in financial reporting, General Ledger management, budgeting, forecasting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, collections, financial analysis, and audit coordination.
Strong understanding of IFRS.
Hands-on experience with Odoo or a similar ERP system.
Eligible to work in Egypt.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Financial modeling and forecasting.
Financial statement preparation and analysis.
Budgeting and financial planning.
Cost accounting knowledge.
ERP systems, including hands-on experience with Odoo or a similar ERP system.
