About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build ongoing research coverage of all US IPOs and direct listings with an expected deal size of USD100mn or higher, excluding closed-end funds and SPACs
  • Develop a data-driven methodology to score and rank deals
  • Produce pre-IPO company tearsheets
  • Conduct pre-IPO fundamental research
  • Provide pre-IPO valuation and pricing insights
  • Prepare post-IPO trading summaries
  • Prepare post-IPO lock-up expiry previews
  • Within the first six months, offer a high-touch service for select institutional clients
  • Provide pre-deal pre-positioning, market intelligence/positioning/book color, management meeting questions, Excel models, and bespoke notes for pre-IPO/cornerstone stake under NDA
  • Provide post-deal lock-up expiry trades
  • Provide desk access via email/messaging and direct calls

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Extensive research and/or investment experience for institutional clients (5 yrs+)
  • Demonstrated experience and network within US equity capital markets
  • Demonstrated ability to write research
