About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and grow Smartsheet's India-based analytics team in Bangalore
  • Directly manage 5 Senior Revenue Operations Analysts and 1 Data Engineer, providing guidance, coaching, and operational support
  • Set priorities, ensure high-quality and timely outputs, and own performance management including merit reviews and calibrations
  • Support career growth through 1:1s, skill-gap identification, mentorship, and development opportunities
  • Partner with HR on recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning
  • Serve as the primary analytics business partner for Global Sales and GTM leaders
  • Lead execution across pipeline health, retention, sales productivity, territory performance, services utilization, and commission planning
  • Create, evolve, and maintain Sales reporting infrastructure
  • Mine large datasets to surface insights and monitor anomalies and data quality issues
  • Partner with Bangalore BI and Data Engineering teams to build scalable analytics solutions and ensure data pipelines meet team needs
  • Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior GTM leadership
  • Translate functional plans into operational processes and manage work intake, project tracking, stakeholder updates, and milestone reviews
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase team throughput and analytical quality
  • Maintain overlap with North America Pacific Time leadership
  • Build relationships between Revenue Operations Analytics and the broader data platform organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in analytics, revenue operations, or a related quantitative discipline
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience, with demonstrated ability to develop and support a team of analysts
  • Deep expertise in SQL and data preparation for analysis, modeling, and visualization
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to translate business questions into analysis, reports, and recommendations for Sales or GTM stakeholders
  • Experience in Cloud or SaaS go-to-market analytics (pipeline, ARR, retention, sales productivity, or similar)
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to present data and findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable with flexible working hours to maintain overlap with North American Pacific Time leadership
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, business, or computer science)
  • Nice to have: experience with statistical techniques including time series analysis, cluster analysis, and multivariate modeling
  • Nice to have: familiarity with data engineering concepts and collaboration with a data engineer on pipeline and infrastructure work
  • Nice to have: Channel / Partner GTM experience
  • Nice to have: experience working in a global, matrixed organization with cross-functional teams across time zones
  • Nice to have: prior experience partnering with BI or Data Engineering teams in a shared-service model
