About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and build full-stack features across front-end, back-end, data modeling, infrastructure, and test automation
  • Own large, ambiguous projects end-to-end from idea to GA, including planning, design, execution, shipping, and operational excellence
  • Lead high-performance front-end challenges involving virtualized views rendering hundreds of thousands of rows
  • Design complex back-end and distributed systems, APIs, and data pipelines for real-time collaboration, large datasets, and high-concurrency workloads
  • Identify and fix team-wide operational and developer-experience problems by building tooling and infrastructure
  • Use AI coding tools such as Claude across the software development lifecycle
  • Lead design and code reviews and mentor engineers through complex projects
  • Partner with product and design from concept through launch
  • Own reliable, observable code, production monitoring, and iteration based on usage and feedback
  • Navigate competing priorities and dependencies across product, design, data, and customer success

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a team environment
  • 3+ years of experience in service-oriented architecture, deployment systems, and cloud infrastructure
  • Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language, such as Ruby, Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript
  • Experience with modern client JS libraries, such as React and Redux
  • Experience in application migration patterns and tradeoff scenarios
  • Knowledge of OOP and REST design principles
  • Clear and objective writing and in-person communication
  • Curiosity to learn new technologies and systems
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis
